The Doctor and Amy learn more about the art of terror in this new adventure where they meet Vincent Van Gogh!

The TARDIS travels back in time but terror lurks in the cornfields of Provence and only a sad and lonely painter can see it... The Doctor and Amy join forces with Van Gogh but can the three of them defeat a powerful and deadly alien?

Vincent and the Doctor was written by Richard Curtis and stars Matt Smith as the Doctor and Karen Gillan as Amy. It also stars Tony Curran and Bill Nighy and was directed by Jonny Campbell.

what an amazing episode and a pretty sad one too. who said doctor who ever lost it's historical educational roots? i learnt more about van gogh in that episode than i ever had before.

richard curtis should write for who again, he got the balance right. i sometimes find some of the humour in new who a tad forced but his was subtle and spot on. as was the emotional content. well apart from that soft rock song but you get my drift

liked the hartnall, troughton image in that mirror device. nice touch
